Hmm. Let's see... First and foremost, I am a mom. I stay at home with my three kids. Emma is almost eight and twins, Benjamin and Sarah, are four. I am married 11 years to my husband, David, who I met in college at the University at Buffalo. We live in Suwanee, GA, which is an Atlanta suburb (I call it Purgatory because I am sooooo NOT the suburban type). Suwanee actually isn't bad as suburbs go, but I would much rather have lots of land with some horses and NO TRAFFIC. Having grown up in rural Upstate NY, I have an appreciation for solitude, but also understand that it is hard to make a living there, so for now, Suwanee it is. I do LOVE Georgia and hope to someday retire (do I need a job to retire?) to the coast with a vacation house in the mountains.
I am an obsessive birder and it drives my non-birder hubby nuts. Fortunately, Emma is also pretty into it so I have someone at home to listen to me prattle on about birds. Birding is actually how i got into my other two obsessions, which are gardening and photography. I got into photography because I would get frustrated when I would see a bird in the field and not be able to remember certain field markers to ID it. I started to take photos and it snowballed from there... The other day I went for a hike and remembered my camera, but forgot my binoculars! The gardening was so I could attract non-feeder birds to my yard. I also love hiking and camping which go well with the birding.
I shoot with a Nikon D60 and am hoping to upgrade to a D300 soon. My favorite lens is my Nikkor VR 80-400.
