An ordinary woman living an ordinary life.
I was less than 10 years old when I had my first camera, and have been taking photos ever since, although I only began taking it more 'seriously' within the last decade. It has now become a passion. I hope to learn more and become better in time.
I am a member of a local Camera Club and enjoy the talks, tutorials and competitions there, as well as seeing the work of some very talented photographers.

Please accept my apologies for a lack of comments on images of birds. I have developed quite a phobia of them in the past 18 months, and even looking at pictures makes me feel ill, although I'm getting better with water birds. Hopefully this will lessen over time and I'll be able to visit again the Flickr friends of mine who post wonderful shots of birds.
I appreciate invitations to post my images in groups here at Flickr, but I won't always take them up. I don't really like groups where the members are compelled to comment on other images as a rule for adding their picture to the group pool. I always do comment on other pictures, but dislike being told I must do so - call me contrary! I also dislike groups whose comment images result in glittery, twinkly, flashy icons on my pages. Sorry, it's just a personal 'thing' and I ask that you don't take it personally as it's not meant that way.

After having had an image stolen from Flickr, and then used for a commercial purpose, I am having to take the issue of copyright much more seriously.
Please do not use my photos without my permission (this includes blogging them without my consent). All my photos are my copyright and may not be used or reproduced in any way without my express permission. I place a watermark on most of my images here - they may not be readily visible to the naked eye, but they are there to prevent theft of my images. I keep a high-res, non-watermarked copy on my hard drive.
I have an account at ImageRights International and will use them to track down those who have stolen my images.
