I have an aversion to post processing. I have reasons for this aversion to post processing - those reasons are numerous and varied but here's a lengthy sample of both true and untrue reasons. (You can pick which ones might be true and which ones might not be. Its like a game, only less interactive - so its like solitaire.)
It takes me a very long time. I tend to overdo things. My computer chair isn't that comfortable. I have a trackpad on my laptop to use as a mouse which is not precise nor accurate. I like bad pictures. I like to compare stats from my pictures from which to learn. Its more humbling this way. I tend to take a while to organize photos and choose the ones I want to upload. My day is only 29 hours long and sometimes a girl's just gotta sleep in. I have yet to install Photoshop. I want to learn many more things about the beginning of the process before inundating my little brain with the things that come after taking the picture. I have yet to buy Photoshop. Small monitor = small eye twitches. I get sucked in and have a problem with leaving things be when they are good enough. I don't buy the hype. The sunlight makes it impossible for me to work on pictures during the daytime since its too damn bright in here. I think sometimes its just not worth it. My kitty likes it when I pay more attention to her than to the monitor and chews on me less. Some things look way cooler all screwed up. And the voices tell me not to. And no one, but no one argues with the voices.
