While I do not have an ounce of talent when it comes to singing, music or art, I can go “click”. Photography started out as a hobby and a way to document my growing family and now many years later has turned into a passion and maybe even an obsession. I photograph a wide variety of subjects because I think you can find beauty and inspiration in almost anything but I do love music, cars and nature and tend to gravitate toward photographing those things. I continue to grow and enhance my photography skills through workshops, classes and networking with other photographers and I am always willing to share my knowledge with others.

If you are looking for a specific subject, need a quote on photography services (business, website, portraits/headshots) or if you have any questions or comments please email me at aug333@yahoo.com.

Please do not use any of my photography in any way without first asking permission! Inquiries can be emailed to aug333@yahoo.com.

One of my other passions is history, especially that of small-town America and old churches. Many in my circle of friends tagged me with title of "church guy" and I wear that moniker with pride! I volunteer for a group called Historic Rural Churches of Georgia (www.hrcga.org) as a way to share my love for old churches with others and use my photography to tell their visual story. I also try to document the history of these wonderful jewels so that they may be shared with future generations.

I enjoy the wonderful photos I see from John. John has developed excellent technique in his photographic quest for awesome images. I particularly love his HDR images which, when compared to so many others, are not over cooked. They reflect a realism few manage to obtain. Ansel Adams once said there are always two people in a photo, the photographer and the viewer. This is a concept John understands. Whether he is working with a single image or a bracketed HDR set, the end result is always the same. Simply captivating photos that draw the viewer in and put them in the scene. I always look forward to opportunities for a photo shoot with John. His advice and guidance is always well thought out and appreciated.
