I am a painter-artist-thing-maker-uper... I am a visual Addict! ...and a greedy collector of vintage things. I make strange looking dolls, I paint the boreal forest as a world, not a landscape. A spiritual world, full of symbols, mysteries, fragile yet immense.

I started in a new direction 10 years ago inspired by this amazing country, and by Picasso, Paul klee, First nations' Art and Russian fol art among many others.

I don't really feel like "I" am painting. I watch the image appear on the page like a spectator. The spirits talk to me, and if I quiet all the chatter inside, I hear them!
