To me, photography is never just about the end result - it's about all of the effort goes into that final result. Steve's work is testimony to the amount of effort he puts in - the crazy hours and harsh conditions that see normal people safely tucked up in their beds. But Steve's work is not just about the photography, it's about the warmth and humanity behind his careful explanations and the time and effort that he takes in offering support to the work of other photographers. His work is everything I love about photography - passion, dedication, humility and a never ending quest to develop his skills even further. He is a true credit and inspiration to this wonderful pastime.

When I added Steve as a contact it was because I really liked what I saw. Then over the past few months I began to love his photos. I find his PoV and post proceesing to be outstanding and I keep asking him to post a short tutorial on how he gets that awesome look. I am even more amazed by the fact that Steve pretty much only uses a regular 18-55mm lens yet shoots better photos than some of the pros I follow:) It really is never the equipment but always the photographer. Steve has become one of my favorite photogs here on Flickr and elsewhere! Keep it up...love your work!
