About Kingfisher Images

Hi, my name is Henk van Beek and I am the photographer behind Kingfisher Images. Born in 1975, living in the centre of The Netherlands.

The initial interest in photography is due to my hobby: aircraft spotting. With my first cameraset, a Minolta Dynax 500si with Tokina AT-X 100-300mm and 400mm lenses, I used to photograph aircraft (both military and civil) at airshows, basevisits and along the fence at many bases and airfields in The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.

Through the years, and certainly since the digital era, not only aviation caught my attention, but also the always interesting and sometimes awesome faces of Nature.

Assisted by my trusty iPhone, my 'photographer's eye' is always kept busy ;)
