Kinga Ogieglo
Drag to set position!
Kinga Ogiegło is an abstract expressionist painter and illustrator. She lives and works in Oświęcim, Poland.
Her paintings create remarkable illusions of space, allowing the paintings to act as mirrors through which we can redefine ourselves. She defines her work as transformational art that engages the viewer to ponder self-reflection, emotional epiphanies, and personal growth. Kinga Ogieglo’s abstract paintings stylistically resemble hints of art movement revolutionaries such as Gerhard Richter, as well as abstract expressionist innovators like Helen Frankenthaler.

‘’I would describe my art as transformational in a way that the process of Self-transformation is made easier and so is the receiving and questioning of the Self. The realization comes that anger, fear or sadness do not have to burn you out but you can integrate these emotions in order to give yourself more determination, power and motivation to experience life. I would like to hope that my art can help people to better understand the impact that their emotions have on their behaviour’’
'’Having been disconnected from my feelings for many years, I learned that acknowledging and honouring my feelings, releases pain and makes you feel more joyful. ‘’
''This painting of mine is called ‘No privacy’. It shows the anger at someone, sadness or depression, emotions so common in toxic relationships. If you’ve experienced someone in your life who has no empathy, is manipulative and does not see you and let you express your feelings then you might resonate with this painting. These emotions are uncreative — if you integrate them, remember the trauma and feel them in your body then it will give you even more strength, knowledge about the Self, more creativity, and the feeling of ‘katharsis’. But everyone sees differently and each painting means something else for everyone.''
