I am a self taught hobby photographer. I have always loved art, but started taking photos in 2012 at FIRST robotics competitions (hence the name kimsrobot). My love of event photography and capturing the emotion of the instantaneous moments grew as I developed my skill with my camera. Still using an entry level digital camera, I learned how to use dramatic lighting, timing, location and editing to get the most out of every image. Eventually I upgraded my equipment, and as our kids grew, I started taking photos at their soccer games. Getting to know each player through my lens, often catching moments and expressions we never noticed on the field, I found it just as rewarding as taking photos for the robotics teams. I am an engineer by day, so it's fun to be able to use my creative and artistic side through photography! Thank you for checking out my work.
