I have enjoyed photography ever since I can remember. My first "real camera" was given to me as a hand me down by my parents. They saw that I loved taking pictures and wanted to encourage me. I have a background in horticulture and found having a camera by my side always helped with identification of plant material for design work. I had a point and shoot but things changed when my husband gave me a Pentax K5 as a present for Christmas. Now photography is my main hobby.

March 2018 update. My beloved Pentax K5 had to be replaced as it was no longer working, except in auto mode. I decided to purchase a Sony A7RIII.
