Hi there! Thank you for checking out my photostream and taking the time to leave comments on photos you might like.

I took a few B&W photography classes back in my college days when I got my degree in Journalism. I have always been the one snapping the photos during family events, vacations, holidays, etc. Discovering the Flickr community has rekindled my interest in capturing images.

As much as I like aiming the camera at what I see before me, I am not one for self-portraits. However, a young artist friend of my daughter's did this portrait of me and my best friend Kirby and I loved it so it is now my Flickr buddy icon.
