All my photos are taken in either Wisconsin or Upper Michigan. I’m especially drawn to the pastoral beauty of Wisconsin farms, barns and farmhouses, but I'm also intrigued by the history of the abandoned homesteads of Upper Michigan.

There’s no shortage of photos that depict the natural beauty of Upper Michigan and Wisconsin. I’m enchanted with waterfalls and lighthouses too, but in my photos I take a slower, back road approach. I try to save to a little bit of the history left behind; the faded and cracked paint of an old farmhouse, the longevity of a rusty Ford truck or the ingenuity of someone trying to mend or patch something without a trip to the hardware store. The beauty is in the struggle and perseverance of the people that live here and most of them wouldn’t have it any other way. I try not to bother anyone and I very seldom touch anything I photograph. I took the photos and now I want to give them back. I hope you enjoy the photos and forgive me my trespasses. Kim
