My name is Kilian. I am a historian, geogeek and aspiring author photographing environments and their people.

Welcome to my online archive. I am currently rebuilding it, so please be patient, sit back, and relax.

I spent several years of my life abroad and currently live in northern The Netherlands.

Until early 2025, I mostly shot digital, before getting into film and home developing as well.

I draw inspiration from stories, mythologies and artworks like The Lord of the Rings and Blade Runner, and music from artists like Epica, Ayreon and Eivør. However, in my photography, I also enjoy mirroring true historical events and past realities in one way or another. A careful observer will inevitably discover thematical connections.

My favourite places to photograph are Scandinavia, Japan and the Mediterranean region.
