A keen photographer for a number of years now, I began using a Minolta 35mm Camera with an inexpensive Minolta 28mm lens I managed to pick up in a sale. Oh how I used to wait with anticipation for that little box of transparencies to come through the letterbox after processing – can’t imagine waiting 2 weeks to see my digital images now!
In 2005 I purchased a 6mp Vivitar compact & discovered digital photography, a few of my early posts were taken with this camera. This rekindled my interest in taking photographs and later in 2007 while recovering from spinal surgery I bought my first DSLR.
Walking being a serious part of my recovery, I married the two together, got bitten by the shutterbug once again and began to take photography serious once more.
My image cataloging and RAW processing is done in Adobe Lightroom with any tidying up completed in Photoshop. I love all kinds of subject matter but my favourites are landscapes & nature.
