In the early 1980's I was NAAFI Club Manager at the Gurkha barracks in Hampshire, which at the time was the busiest establishment in the UK for developing & printing films.
The photos were sent on to their families in Nepal. Whilst there I developed (sorry!) an interest in photography due to the Gurkha influence and from the TV programme "Me and My Camera" that was broadcast around that time. I've still got the book.
In 1999 I joined a 'Know Your Camera' course at Gloucestershire University, and continued to develop and print my own (B&W) pictures there.
Unfortunately unable to continue with the course, my interest continues, and I now have a Fujifilm FinePix S5700, which has once again seen an increase in photographic activity!
I'm originally from Alcester, in Warwickshire.
I manage the following Flickr groups - please take a look, join a group and invite your friends!
Enjoy! If you like my photos tell your friends, if not tell me!
