Well I have been a Flickr'er for over a year now so I guess I should write something about myself.

I have been taking pictures since I was about 16, first camera was a Pentax K1000, still have it! That is a great camera to learn to take photographs on as it is totally manual. You had to learn what focus, aperture and shutter speed was and when to change each one. And when you changed one what happen to the others. I was on my high school yearbook and took a few pictures for it. Then moving on to college I was on the newspaper staff for a couple of years and really enjoyed that. That is pretty much where my style comes from a photojournalist approach. I love to photograph people from a far so you can catch them in everyday life and what they look like while doing it. The best compliment I receive when someone is looking at my photographs is "... when did you take that shot, I didn't know you were taking my picture!" That means I caught them in a true expression of life.

Now, I just take snapshots, as I am a dad with two beautiful children. I don't really try to compose much as that is not possible with fast moving children, I just try to capture what they do best, having fun. I occasionally try something creative but I just am really not! That is why I spend so much time on flickr looking at everyone else fantastic work. It amazes me the amount of creativity that the "amateurs" (I use that term loosely) on this site have. So if I have marked you as a contact then I saw a photograph that you made that makes me want to see more. Not that it means much to have me as a contact but consider it a compliment, from me, if I do it.
