I originally got into photography in the early 1970’s, at first just fooling around. As I got more & more interested in it, I did some “stringer” work for the local newspaper. While working for a Harrisburg, Pa concert promoter as well as various local radio stations (I was once a moderately popular disc jockey) I was afforded the opportunity to shoot many major musical acts touring at that time. In the late 70’s I made the transition from radio to photography at the professional level. While working for Eastern Photographic Laboratories in Thomaston, CT, I served as Photographic Instructor, Itinerant Supervisor in Photography and Portrait Sales, Studio Manager and finally Regional Manager with 13 studios in three states.

In 1989, I took a break from the photos and spent 11+ years as the Director of Health & Safety Services for the local chapter of the American Red Cross in Williamsport, PA. After retiring, I decided to get back to something I enjoyed and loved doing…..“shooting people”. So now, every fall for a few months I go to various schools in Pennsylvania/New York and shoot about 300 kids a day. Not too many people can say that without getting arrested! My shots generally appear in the school’s annual yearbooks as well as the packages purchased by Mom & Dad. I also do a few proms in the spring as well as sports/team photos for some schools.
