I'm an amateur photographer. I've been interested in photography since I was very young, but until the acquisition of my first Nikon DSLR and some good lenses a few years ago, I never went very far with it.

You may have noticed there are a lot of birds here. I keep trying to expand my repertoire but I always come back to the birds. I've been thrilled by them from a very early age. I wanted to catch them, and often tried (and failed). One day when I was about seven or eight my father gave me a collapsible telescope (spyglass). And I remember as clearly as if it was yesterday, how excited I was when I saw my first close up of a barn swallow perched on the clothes line in my neighbor’s yard. Now when I catch a bird it’s in the lens of the camera, and I still get just as excited. I hope I always do.
