I am a NSCAD University-trained visual artist working in the fields of photography and film.

My photographs often do not encompass larger thoughts or concepts, but instead focus on a moment; a part instead of the whole. I like ephemera, visceral heart-tugging imagery, plays on light and colour, and the feeling of comfort as being with an old friend. I work in both film and digital, depending on the material, and work in formats up to 4x5 film-based cameras.

Ongoing Projects: "Resting Places"; a photographic examination of benches and their environments.

My films are often centered around the idea of childhood vs. maturity, that Peter Pan grey area between staying a child and growing up, and understanding the world you've been placed in. I also do still photography work on films. You will find a selection of that work here.

Ongoing Projects: "Grown-Up Nightmares"; a short film about a young man's encounters with his childhood bogeymen that plague him when he moves home during the Recession.
