I have been working as a professional photographer for 30 years. Most of that time was spent as an editorial photographer, working in the media, music and celebrity field. I have always been freelance and was for many years the features photographer on Q magazine, the premier music magazine in the UK. I have been commissioned by many different titles over the years including Rolling Stone, Smash Hits, etc.

In 2000 I decided to leave London and the magazine business. I moved back to my native Scotland where I now work as a family/child photographer, while still retaining a base in London. I work with my wife Lesley and we travel to people's homes to photograph them in their natural surrounding, where the children will feel more comfortable. We accept commissions in the UK, Europe and the U.S.A.

My aim in photographing children is to produce beautiful images for the parents that will reflect the character of their child and also be a reminder to the subject of their childhood when they have grown.
