I am proud to be a lifelong resident of Southwest Pennsylvania, just east of Pittsburgh, with a passion for photography stretching back to my youth days. I have always had an interest in acquiring and using the latest photographic tools to make pictures, and I never saw a camera I didn't like or want. I fell in love with 8mm movie film and 126 cartridge cameras in my early teens, then moved to VHS videotape and 35mm SLR as a young adult, and now I enjoy the high tech world of digital videocams and digital SLR still cameras. No matter the medium, one thing has remained the same for me over the years. I love having the creative freedom to capture and freeze precise moments in time, as seen by my eyes, through the viewfinder of a camera.

Today, I am rarely with out a camera as I travel for my non-photography related job. My eyes are always on the lookout for that next unique or breathtaking scene that I can capture, frozen in time, for the enjoyment of others for years to come. I love the beautiful scenes, colors and textures of nature, and my Flickr photostream is full of many images like that which were "captured in the moment".

I recent years my interests and skills have expanded to include other photographic opportunities. I am learning the artistic side of portrait photography and the many ways to adapt light sources to create photos that were previously seen only in my mind. I enjoy sport and action photography, telling the story of motion and emotion captured at a single moment, often in 1/1000 of a second or less. I also do high quality home interior and exterior photography for real estate marketing needs of private clients. I constantly experiment with new techniques, new equipment, new post processing techniques, and new ideas for "Telling stories and sharing dreams through the lens of my camera."
