Hi All

My name is Jacque and I live in Canon City, CO.

I have 2 full-grown sons (manly men) and 4 adorable grandchildren.

I've only been involved with quilting since the beginning of 2009...though I learned to sew many years before in high school. Not sure why I was never interested in quilting...and I'm not sure what exactly sparked my interest. Couple of things, but they don't explain how thoroughly I am into it, now. Gotta tell ya, though, I am addicted!

I am working on putting my faves into galleries...what a great way to note why a specific quilt has been marked as one of my faves. I am drawn to quilts for different reasons.

I love prim colors and fall colors, but when I choose fabric for quilts, I am more drawn to the brighter, modern fabrics. I know! Go figure!

I do like some of the traditional blocks, but I mostly enjoy the freedom of modern quilting. I am in the process of putting together a more traditional type of quilt for myself...darker colors of red/brown/green/blue/black. The block patterns are monkey wrench and shoo fly...with a lot of hst's thrown into the mix, too.

I love whimsical, but not cutesy. I don't care for holiday-themed quilts. I don't much care for blue.

As for things in my life that give me pleasure...my grandkids. Reading. Sewing. Quilting.
