Photography is my passion. It’s God’s gift to me that I can share with others.
I’m a self-taught natural light photographer from Louisville, Ky., who fell in love with the art more than 25 years ago. My intent as an artist is to wow you by creating images that stir emotions.
I love shooting nature, landscape and travel photography.
I am always learning, hoping to improve my technical and creative skills, both behind the camera and in the digital darkroom. I am constantly soaking up the wisdom and advice from other photographers. I’m addicted to Twitter where I follow others who freely share their knowledge.
In my full-time gig, I currently work in the communications field as a publications writer/editor and I shoot many of the photographs that accompany my stories. My job has taken me all over the world to write and shoot photographs for a Fortune 500 company. I have won numerous awards for writing and photography from the local chapters of the International Association of Business Communicators and the Public Relations Society of America in their Landmarks of Excellence Awards.
One of most memorable photo shoots was a few years back on a street in Mexico City. Recently I did an online search where I found my most memorable photo on How Stuff Works website. I don’t own the copyright to the photo, but if you want to see it go here science.howstuffworks.com/conservation-issues/georgia-aqu....
I am a regular “volunteer” photographer for the Spina Bifida Association of Kentucky, where I also have served as their board president. The kids and families that are affected by the birth defect inspire my tenacious spirit.
