i am a simple woman with a complex soul;
I am so many things, yet nothing at all

The way I see it…
…my camera is an extension of my heart and soul, it is my mind's eye...a way of visually communicating all that I see and feel and think;
…color feeds my spirit, but black and white sears into my soul;
…my children have made me a better person;
…it seems impossible to take a leap of faith when it’s all I can do to stand on my own two feet;
…I usually feel like a piece of puzzle in the wrong box…except when I’m taking photographs, creating art or writing;
…there is so much beauty in the unknown; the element of possibility is a force larger than ourselves which propels us forward, keeping us in motion, moving us deeper into our lives;
…it’s not easy to follow our own path, beat to our own drum or be who we are truly meant to be;
…I’d rather be told an ugly truth than a beautiful lie;
…my ever curious mind rages with a sea of questions, always calling out to me, beckoning me to dive into something new and challenging!

Kelly Angard is a full-time photographer, artist and writer based in Denver, CO.
Her fine art photography features conceptual images of people, horses and nature. Through alternative, traditional, and digital processes, Kelly develops unique and creative images which inspires a silent dialogue with the viewer.
Her fine art, whether abstract, conceptual or corporeal, examines our intrinsic ties with nature and encourages viewers to look beneath the surface to find a personal meaning. Multiple layers of color, texture and calligraphy are the foundation of her artistic language no matter the medium.
Writing is another creative passion for Kelly. She has written over 50 articles for national and international industry magazines and is a published author. Personal. Sweet. Feminine but inviting. An invitation to a life expressed, her work is like a boat caught in between changing tides. Kreativekell's work involves nature close up and far away. The nature around her, her body in its many different poses, her face especially (with its many moods) and I would imagine the animals, the countryside that surrounds her in Colorado. When you enter her world, you enter an introspective, sharply focused world of personal images, images that she cares about deeply. These images are not just photography, but drawings, pages from her journal. Well worth the visit.

I am just totally blown away by your creative force and energy-so inspiring, real, open, and amazing! Thanks for going beyond simply what I know in scrapbooking and photography. AWESOME.!
The work of this woman makes me think to a "promenade romantique" into a very intimacy particular world of her own.
If I would not have declared her friend long ago I would have done it today. Her work shines a light upon many of us, a friendly light, a mindopening light. Although many of these pictures are mainstream they are still individual, not copies, but a genuine expression of hers.

this one is long over due, so accept my apology. i've told kelly before that she should change her title to "the fine art girl", because i think her work goes well beyond the world of crafts. her type work, illustration skills, conceptual thinking and talent behind the camera set her apart from so many on flickr. she combines all of those skills seemlessly, and in the end creates compelling pieces of art. she has a special gift, one that not many have. i'm a sucker for versatility, and people who stretch their minds and take chances. she puts herself out ther in every way, exposing every last feeling for all of us to enjoy.

Kelly has more artistic intuition, creative skill, and eye for beauty in her little finger, than I have in my whole body. And I've never enjoyed being so jealous, so much. There is a substance to her work that makes it plain we've only just begun to see the substance that is her. I've told her before - there's a difference between a person who says something, and a person who has something to say. She most definitely has something to say. There's no way for me to choose a single favorite from her stream, because everything she does, she does well. But I have to say that her self-portraits are what empowered my own first, frightful steps into the experience of self-portraiture. The experience for me has been of incalculable worth, simply because of what it has taught me about myself and my story. A few email exchanges with her - full of kindness and encouragement on her end - helped me in my own self-portraiture and inner journey more than she even knows. Never stop creating, Crafty Girl. It is Light in a dark place.
Read lessI've found in Kelly a perfect mix of lucid creativity, sense and beauty. Her stream is bright and you always get more than an image from her. That is what i like more of her, she is full of meaning and determination and may touch you with her beautiful combination of images and words.
