Kelly is the real deal... as a friend and as a photographer. Her photos are awe-inspiring on so many levels... they always amaze me and often make me giggle. She has no idea how often she's given me a smile when I really needed it. Her wry sense of humor totally effen rocks. I wish she lived near me. How cool would it be to have a friend like her in your own damn town? SO COOL, I tell ya! I met Kelly in court when she was up on charges for stalking James Spader. I had just been cleared of bacon shoplifting charges. When Spader was walking into the courtroom, he glanced over to where Kelly and I were sitting. His and Kelly's eyes met, his first time seeing her face to face. I could see the immediate connection between them - Spader immediately turned to his lawyer and whispered something in his ear. The lawyer turned, approached Kelly "The charges have been dropped" he said, obviously frustrated and he walked away. Spader paused for a minute and walked back out of the courtroom past Kelly. No words were spoken but I could feel the electricity. Kelly wanted to follow him - I held her back, she cried on my shoulder for a while. We talked for a while on a range of topics including typing errors and appropriate punishments, the optimum ingredients for whoopie pie, techniques for scanning in old family pics, Debra and her chronic eye shadow problem and politically correct sado-masochistic practices in the workplace. After a while we parted and I glanced back as she walked along the long marble floored hallway, It was hard to make out in with the bright daylight coming in through the windows and reflecting on the floor but I am sure I saw Spader standing waiting by the stairway staring right at Kelly. As she approached, he stepped forward towards her... I turned, smiled, and walked on... If Kelly wasn't so damn funny - I'd totally block her ass :-)
