I have always enjoyed exploring the boundary between art and technology. They are two branches of human endeavour that have evolved in tandem, where advances in one inspire and enable advances in the other. Photography embodies that principal more than perhaps any other medium.

I initially took an interest in photography when I was exposed to the first generation of camera phones in Japan in the early 2000s, when the limitations of resolution and fidelity could be relied upon to introduce an unpredictable, impressionistic quality to any photo. I continue to capture abstractions of the world around me with whatever camera happens to be at hand. The energy in my photographs arises from their spontaneity.

My favourite subjects are the contemporary ruins of our civilisation. (see my group human stain) I'm also a sucker for beauty - in all its eyes and guises.
