Let me start by saying something about user levels: I know that a lot of people use the "Family" level as a level above "Friends." I don't; I use Family to designate actual family members. If you add me as Family, please don't be offended that I don't add you back; also, if you use Family as a higher level and only add people who add you as Family, please understand why I won't be doing so, and take that into consideration.
If you are set as a Friend, you are going to see everything that is possible to see, other than a few photos marked Private and a handful that won't be interesting to anyone outside of my actual family. I personally would like to see Flickr adopt a different way of doing contact levels, but until then, this is what I do.

I consider my self a "family photographer" for the most part, although I have sold a handful of pictures. I got my first DSLR in December 2006, and am learning more of how much I don't know every day.
