First I am a father of 5 great children, a grandfather and husband of a great wife and best friend. We have been married for 10 years and the kids keep us busy which makes thing exciting.

I work full-time as a firefighter/paramedic/inspector at a fire department in Franklin County (Columbus) and part-time as the Fire Chief at a local combination fire department.

I have 5 years of experience in photography and hope to get formal training soon. I particularly like to shoot public safety scenes/photojournalism but have been doing more family/senior portraits.

I shoot with a Canon 1D MkII, 30D, and T2i and a few back up cameras. I am getting a good collection of lenses at this point and can't believe how far the technology has taken us with digital photography.

I have an interest in infared photography and hope to pick up a modified camera or modify my backup 30D and have just started doing HD video.

Any advice is appreciated (how else do I get better).
