I'm a small town girl (from southern Ohio/eastern Kentucky), turned mother, wife, big city girl and back to small town girl. I now live in southern Minnesota, which I absolutely love, though someday I would like to move farther west. Arizona has a nice sound to it at times, especially during the long cold Minnesota winters.

I became interested in photography about four years ago and have had several different types of cameras. I started out with a basic point and shoot kodak. It was okay, then, but I wasn't too happy with the quality. Nothing against kodak, but it's just not for me.

Then we bought a casio exilim. It was definitely better than the kodak and took half way decent video clips (which is important since my family lives well over a 1,000 miles away).

My husband just bought for me my first dslr camera, on 10/31 just in time for Halloween. So now I am the proud owner of a Canon Rebel XS. And I must say I **LOVE** this camera. I am still learning but I'm having so much fun with it. I shoot primarily in aperture or shutter priority, I am also learning the ends and outs of manual. I only have a few lenses right now, the standard kit lens, 75-300mm III and my fave 50mm 1.8 (which is on my camera 99% of the time). And I just recently added a 430ex flash to my collection. Now I'm working towards my next lens =)

I love editing my photos with photoshop and lightroom.
