Kawa Creative is a collaboration of artists who are passionate about the health and social benefits of creativity.
Kawa Creative has been set up to provide artistic and meaningful activites, training and education in order to promote good mental health.
Kawa is the Japanese word for river and refers to the Kawa Model which has informed the development of Kawa Creative over the past six months. David Nixon has been working with the Kawa Model since 2006 when he was introduced to it whilst training as an occupational therapist.
Sue Walpole has been working creatively as a community artist since 2005 , she has delivered projects in a variety of settings including mental health, families, community, BME , asylum seekers, youth work, schools and early years.
