My first camera was a Kodak Brownie Starflash, which, alas, I no longer have. Now I have a couple dozen, including a Rollieflex 35M, a Rolleicord twin-lens reflex, my parents’ Kodak Duoflex, a 35mm Argus rangefinder camera, my maternal grandmother Esther’s Kodak Brownie No. 2 and one of the original Canon ELPHs that uses APS film. My latest acquisition is a Canon AE-1 Program.

Rarely do I shoot with film these days – I usually use my iPhone, Canon DSLRs, Lumix DMC-TS3 or Olympus TG-3. But film is still fun, and I always have at least one camera loaded and ready to go. Occasionally I’ll dig into my accumulation of slides and prints and scan a few with my Epson Perfection V500 scanner.

Flickr is great fun, and I very much enjoy the way it challenges me to grow as a photographer and enables me to connect with creative people from all over the world. Don’t be shy!

A couple of things you should know: I don’t much care for spam, so any spam comments on my photos will be deleted and the poster will be blocked. And nothing personal, but I don’t like elements that blink, flash, twirl or exhibit similar obnoxious behavior and will delete any comments or invitations that contain them.

Photography records the gamut of feelings written on the human face - the beauty of the earth and skies that man has inherited; and the wealth and confusion that man has created. It is a major force in explaining man to man.
