The Canon Rebel XT I purchased in September 2007 is my first foray into the DSLR world. I did some work with 35mm SLRs (mainly a late 70s model Canon, and later a Canon Rebel 2000) quite a while ago. In the interim I was taking snapshots with a Canon Powershot A520. After that was stolen I picked up a Canon Powershot A540.
