Chateau de Noisy, Chateau Rochendaal, Beelitz-Heilstätten, Germany, then Whittingham, a mental hospital in the U.K. or Hasard Cheratte, a mine in Belgium: Ineke Kamps created breathtaking series visiting abandoned European buildings (I heard of photos she took in a Berlin STASI prison too). It's not only the architecture she features, she is able to fix the sadness of those places emotionally; I was glad as I discovered, that she is not overwhelmed by the misery of those issues: together we took some photos in Berlin and I learned, that she is a very humorous, friendly and hearty person too: maybe her cats are helping her to reach this level of satisfaction... +
