Hi, I am an artist from the Czech republic. I had lived there for 21 years, then I moved to the States with my husband.

Ever since I was a kid, I drew and painted. I loved using pencil and I loved line art.

In high school, I studied fashion design and learned a lot in art and I really enjoyed figural drawing.

I was always drawn to cartoons and I enjoyed Disney the most! So it's kind of the direction I've been going, although I have been trying to make my art look a little different - I didn't want to copy too much.

In the CZ, I had a hard time with art - people loved it but paying for it was a different question.

Here, in the States, things seem to be so much easier! It's a world that welcomes artists no matter what your title is.

I started selling a little bit of art on etsy ( katehollart.etsy.com ) and also a bit on ebay ( find as etsykate )
