My name is Katie and I am a full-time student at George Mason University. I'm 19 and began to take interest in photography at the young age of 15. I started off with my grandfather's 35mm camera in which I took black and white pictures of items around my house. I both developed and printed my photographs in a dark room with the help of my photography teacher. Although at the time, I thought my photographs were great and interesting, come my second year of photography class; I became bored of snapping pictures of my home. As an assignment, my photography teacher required us to look through websites, books, and magazines for inspiring images. I came across this site, Flickr, in which I fell in love and became inspired by everyone's work. The members of Flickr really have inspired me to keep shooting and explore the world.

I am currently shooting with a Canon EOS REBEL T1i and will be posting my findings on this site. I hope you enjoy my photographs as much as I enjoy yours.
