Working from life whenever possible allows me to convey a sense of place, time, light and impression in my oil paintings. Primarily a landscape painter, with a life-long love of the outdoors, painting plein air allows me to share my wonder of and love for nature.

With a degree in Art Education from Hofsta University, I taught art to 5th-12th grade students and adults in New York and Pennsylvania. More recently, I have been accepted as a Signature Member of the Cincinnati Art Club. I am an active member of Brush and Palette Painters, a plein air painting group in Cincinnati, Ohio which meets weekly.

Artists such as Mary Jean Weber and Chuck Marshall have been influential in my development as a painter. They, along with participation in many oil painting workshops have significantly shaped my style.
