Kateryna Sazonova is a filmmaker and director recognized for independent projects spanning fiction, documentary and mixed forms with personal interest in raising awareness of environmental crisis and critical social issues. She has developed, produced, wrote, directed, shot, and edited film, video, and commercial content throughout her career in Europe and the United States.

Kateryna’s experience also includes work in public and network television, project management, mentorship, and administration.

Originally from Ukraine, Kateryna received her BA in International Economic Relations from Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, and studied Film and Television Directing at the Interschool in Kyiv. She recently graduated from Columbia College Chicago with an MFA in Film and TV Directing and is currently based in Chicago.

Kateryna's photography experience includes travel, landscape, portrait, event and film photography. Currently she is working as a Still/Unit and BTS photographer on film and TV production sets across the US and internationally.
