I am 57, grandmother to two gorgeous grandchildren aged 8 and 4. My interest in photography started in 2007 when my youngest daughter adopted a beautiful 5 year old Husky, who had been abandoned by his previous owner. Of course, none of us realised how much exercise Huskies require. To find an outlet for Mushky's energy we found a club of Husky owners who meet on a Sunday morning - at the crack of dawn, as the dogs have to run before it gets too hot - and run the dogs. I started taking pictures with my little point and shoot digital camera, but soon became frustrated as I was missing all the good shots. When I got my annual bonus I invested in something better, and now I have a fantastic time. I jump on the back of the bakkie and photograph the dogs as they run.
