Hello and thank you for visiting my profile.

I started my flickr web page with the sole aim of sharing my photos with friends in distant lands. However, I now see that flickr is not so much an inanimate useful tool, but more like a very diverse community drawn together by a common bond - an appreciation of visual aesthetics.

Naturally I am extremely excited by this treasure I have stumbled across, and absolutely humbled by the extraordinary talent I see as I travel around flickr. I have had a long-standing latent desire to improve my photographic skills, and now a new found hope that perhaps flickr may help me to achieve this goal.
