I think of myself as a seeker of art. I use a camera as my butterfly net, and every once in a while, I am blessed with a treasure of sorts. I have been on this quest for over ten years now, and have progressed form "catching" pretty, readilly avbailable images to seeking the more unusual. I love the hunt. Mostly, I have focussed my recent efforts on the deadness of leaves, the bark of palm , and the rusted and worn materials that mankind leaves behind. All of this has provided me unending entertainment. Every image herein has been cherished from discovery, and, throughout the development process. Much like children, there have been challenges, disappointments, and successes. I am grateful to anyone who takes the time to view these images. Most artists will tell you that their soul is portrayed within their art. I don't doubt this for a minute and am daunted by the exposure process. How & why dare I? My mentors have been generous, patient and kind. They iinclude the likes of my dear husband, Warren Daspit, Vicky Short, Ricki Cooke, Dewitt Jones and JP Caponigro.
"What is an Idea?
It is an image painted upon my brain.
Are all your thoughts, then, images?
Of course..."
