Karem is somewhat of a silent assasin. We met when she started the photography course (we're doing now) as a fill in for a dropout. So in all honesty, I didn't give her much time. I wasn't expecting much from a second-rounder. Big Mistake. Karem's photography and personality have a lot in common, which is a good thing. Her ability to observe, comprehend and react accordingly is certainly clear in her imagery. What took me time to discover was that these skills stem from her ability to understand people. I hope that I can always be a part of Karem's photographic journey because I know that it will be long and prosperous (if she wants it to be) and that her abilities and successes will drive me to work harder as well. She's just not allowed to take photos of architecture....
