I'm 26, live in a room with purple and green walls with psychedelic fantasy, I have a boundless love for meringues and marshmallows (despite my degree in nutrition), are color blind and I collect old tins used. Kapyn is only my alter ego, or rather, one of many. It is indeed a good description. As a child, while all the girls played with dolls, I would spend my days turning my room into a dark room pretending, with wires going from wall to wall and pieces of paper on which I attacked with pegs stolen his mother, making photos were fake. And at Christmas I asked a Polaroid instead of Nouvelle Cuisine. Then I grew up, and photography led me without giving particularly bothersome (to me, but above all the others) up to 18 years, when I finally realized that maybe I could go beyond the banal photographs taken on trips or at sunset with boyfriend. But despite that, I enrolled in Biology. Initially I had no great means, and to be a hobby rather than a compact car could go well ... but not enough for me, and then I started to fotoritoccare all photos to create what I wanted to come out directly from my machine, from colors. Here, the colors have always been an obsession, even though my color blindness leads me often to see the world in a very personal way (always hear "why the sky is purple in your photos" is really frustrating!). Now I play to make a freelance photographer, but never take myself too seriously. Favorite photographer? (since there are thousands, Doisneau from my friend that clicks into analog), I soffermerei more about my painter, Monet. But do not ask me what colors I see in his beautiful water lilies, thanks.

Ho 26 anni, vivo in una stanza con pareti viola e verdi con fantasia psichedelica, nutro un amore sconfinato per meringhe e marshmallow (nonostante la mia laurea in nutrizione), sono daltonica e colleziono vecchie scatole di latta usate. Kapyn è soltanto il mio alter ego, o meglio, uno dei tanti. Non è una bella descrizione in effetti. Da piccola, mentre tutte le bambine giocavano con le bambole, io passavo le giornate a trasformare la mia stanza in una finta camera oscura, con fili che andavano da parete a parete e sui quali attaccavo pezzi di carta con le mollette rubate alla mamma, facendo finta fossero foto. E a Natale chiedevo una Polaroid invece della Nouvelle Cuisine. Poi sono cresciuta, e la fotografia mi ha accompagnata senza dare particolarmente fastidio (a me, ma soprattutto agli altri) fino ai 18 anni, quando ho finalmente capito che forse potevo andare oltre alle banalissime foto fatte in gita o al tramonto col fidanzatino. Ma nonostante ciò, mi iscrivo a Biologia. Inizialmente non avevo grandi mezzi, e per essere un hobby una compatta poteva andare più che bene...ma non mi bastava, e allora ho cominciato a fotoritoccare tutte le foto per creare ciò che avrei voluto uscisse direttamente dalla mia macchinetta, a partire dai colori. Ecco, i colori sono sempre stati un'ossessione, anche se il mio daltonismo mi porta spesso a vedere il mondo in modo del tutto personale (sentirsi dire sempre "perchè il cielo nelle tue foto è viola" è davvero frustrante!). Adesso gioco a fare la fotografa freelance, ma sempre senza prendermi troppo sul serio. Fotografo preferito? (dato che ce ne sono mille, da Doisneau alla mia amica che scatta in analogico), mi soffermerei di più sul mio pittore, Monet. Ma non chiedetemi che colori vedo nelle sue splendide ninfee, grazie.
