Born in Westzaan, some kilometers northwest of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Now living in Zaandijk, working in Zaandam as an IT engineer. Other hobbies: music, HAM radio (take a look at www.pe1ouw.nl) fishing (which I have ignored for the last couple of years, I'm afraid) and relaxing.

Started kiting again in May 2005 after 25 years of inactivity to lift a long wire aerial for the short waves . When looking for more info on aerial kites I also learned about the phenomenon KAP.

Triggered, but not yet put into practise until late September 2006. Bought the Book "Terschelling in Vliegervlucht" in August directly from its creator Gerrit Bart Volgers (who can also be found on flickr).
