i dont remember how i stepped upon his gallery, but i have become a big fan since i committed that mistake ;-) Kapil keeps posting pics at a brisk rate, mostly no titles, and under a low profile. experimental... that is him in a way. the 'standard' portraits look excellent with a character. love his themes... bravo!

Kapil Das exists on a continent a few oceans distant and yet the divide between his vision and mine is nothing more that the depth of my monitor’s screen. The kaleidoscopic world he conveys may be exotic to these particular eyes and yet it is never foreign. Never foreign for the fact that Kapil sees with a universal eye. His experience of the farthest realms of his native country is not so much the documentation of Indian culture but rather, the existential footprints of one man known as Kapil Das. A ‘photo journal’? Well yes. Why not call it what it is? Here under the pseudonym of ‘Lenskap’, he serves up a photo essay to last he, I and all of us a lifetime. And now if you’ll excuse me, I must be off. For shows about to start and Kapil has saved me the best seat in the house. The one just behind the lens leading to his all perceptive eye. Recommendation? Check out the sets ‘Janki Maa Touring Museum’ (whoa!) and ‘ArdhKumbh’.
