There is a strong love for people, places, and life, in these photographs. The mark of a great artist is, when, after seeing their works, you start to see beauty in normal life around you. As though the world around you has acquired depth, just because that photo revealed it to you. The very first time I saw his photostream, a few years ago, I felt compelled to write a testimonial. But I wasn't sure what words I would use to convey the admiration I felt, so i put it off Even now I think words cannot do justice, you must see these pictures to understand. Because some people do photography as a hobby, some do it as a job, and some do it because they have to...it is a passion for them, & they were born to do it. And I feel this person was born to be a photographer. Each photo brings out the best in its subject. Especially with portraits: it is as though the camera has revealed their soul, onto the surface. I feel like each photo is pulling me into it. You know, a painter i was reading about, said that to truly see something is to forget the name of the thing you are seeing. And that is the case with Mr Kami's photos, you look...and then you keep looking, until you become lost in them :) May Allah shower His blessings on you & your family in this life and the next, make your hardships easier, and grant u jannah, because i feel so delighted when i see ur photos, i must make dua for you. :) Please compile a book of your work, and find outlets for more people to see it, because it is the kind of gift that must be shared.

Kami’s one of my first contacts who became a very dear friend to me. One of the many things that I love most about his photography is the “magnetic draw” effect each one of his work has. Each time I get to his photostream, I would always be mesmerized by each capture. There’s always something that draws the “inner” me inward to the picture and land me in another world, another place and sometimes, another time. Kami’s work has always been MORE than just beautifully capturing a subject because there’s always the existence of a great, positive and peaceful flow of energy it releases. He is an exceptional expert in all categories, be it landscape, portraits, editorial or flowers. I have learned so much through his photographs and have always been inspired by his infinite talents. Kami shoots from his heart, and his heart is so beautiful… maybe that’s the reason why all of his captures are beyond superb and so heavenly that they seem to always be out of this world! "Where do I start? I'm guessing if you're reading this you're already familiar with Kami Syed work, if not - what are you waiting for? Technically awesome compositions displaying an amazing command of light, form, color and textures that will make you marvel, but the real magic, for me, is in the way his images make you "feel". In a wander through his photostream you will lose yourself and find yourself. You'll be moved to smile and laugh, feel sadness, freedom, inspiration and wonder. That's the key - his pictures make you truly "feel". They suck you right in and absorb your thoughts. Hey Kami , I'd love to pull up a bean bag and settle for an hour or so in a wee corner of your head while you're feeling at your most inspired... it would be a powerful, intensely inspiring experience for sure. Well, it's been so long i wanted to write a testimonial for my Kami Bhai .. but i considered myself a no good photographer yet so thought i would not be able to describe his photogrpahy technically, but he wrote a testimonial for me and it is something Precious , so i decided NOW's the time to say what i think about Kami Bhai ! Kami Bhai is the One Finest photographer for me , i loved his shots for the very first time i looked them, they'r all adoreable. but the Best thing i saw in Kami Bhai is he's so simple and humble unlike other good photographers. He treats everyone with so loving and caring bahviour, encourages beginners, give out time for all and their pics. thats what he is in General. With Me, it's More than that :) he loves me a lot , treats me just like his little brother :) very frank with me , advise me , ENCOURAGES me, always help me, jokes around , share ideas. I think if i would be of his age, he would be my Best Friend :) but it's an honour to be his little brother :) and He's so Cute :) totally photogenic :) I respect him from the core of my heart. I was thinking for a long time to write a testimonial for this great brother of mine :-) but i didn`t tell him .. i just wanted to give him a surprise. Since i join the community of Pakistani Photographers i come to know many people most of them are very fine gent, but this person gives me a the feeling of a true brother.. i didn`t met him personally.. but i like the way he mix up with the people... if u don't know this chap Kami then u just need to write him a scrap n he will come back to u just like an long lost friend.. i am sure whoever knows Kami surely loves him.. There are many great photographers on flickr.. they take great pictures, but i guess there are very few people here who`s comments n pictures can make u laugh.. this chap has capability to make people laugh, at least in Pakistani Photographers community there is no one like him.. his work is fabulous.. whether its a Portrait, action, land scape photography this chap is always ahead of everyone (excluding some seniors) a very talented photographer who hardly rest, if u closely watch his photos u will realize his passion for photography.. he is the kind of a guy who can spend whole day taking pictures n still feel fresh I am so proud to call him my brother.. he is a true gem n darling of our community.. It is very difficult to write something about Kamran without looking at all aspects of the man. However this is a site devoted to photography and the visual arts, so there is an element of ease in describing the man as an artist… until his photographic art spills over into the poetic, the descriptive, the narrative. Primarily, one would have look a very long way, and with some diligence to find somebody of the same calibre of Kamran. His portraits, for me, are exceptional to the point of being magnificent. Obviously his subjects are there for all to see, but he has the capacity to pluck those subjects out of the ordinary and drive them into the extraordinary. Composition does not come easily, but this man is a master of his craft. He has an eye; he sees through and past the detritus of life to the beauty. Shape; colour; texture; softness of light; shadow, juxtaposition of mass against mass; mass against what may appear at first to be vacant areas, are all managed with consummate skill. His works can contain depths of vision that are stunning; pastel colours and blurred backgrounds which accentuate the drama of the subject to the point that the viewer is transfixed with love of that subject, or has difficulty drawing away from a pair of eyes that mesmerise; that hypnotise with their intensity… and all the way through, his subjects are caught in a time frame and the legend that should be writ large on ever one of his works is. “Look at me. I am mankind. I am life. I am man. I am noble. I am woman. I am beauty. I am a child. I am your future. I may be vulnerable now, I may be in this situation now, but I will survive.” He has the skill and capability to show the nobility, the beauty of man; to such an extent that it takes one’s breath away. People, snatched out of their environment for the briefest of moments become icons from the past, the future, the present whilst there is perhaps turmoil surrounding them; pathos; fear; anger; despair; all the frailties of human life are caught by this genius; through his eyes and his lens. He holds up his art to us, the viewers, saying, “This is the way it is. Look at this and this and this. This is life as it really is. This is man at his finest; his most noble; his most vulnerable”. And through it all he has the knack of humour, compassion, love of his subjects and a rapport which supersedes simple photography. And gently, and with humour, he narrates in a non preaching manner, the sociological backgrounds, he unfurls concepts, dispels confusion, He leads the mind and soul into a clearer understanding and compassion for the subjects; the situations; the ethos of his works. Composition is magnificent. He manages to fill the frame with the subject in a manner which sometimes invites the viewer to step into that photograph and become part of the action; at other times he fills the picture in a way that demands that we look, admire, understand, love or feel enormous compassion… but always on the terms of the subject. I don’t know how long he works with his subjects… I have never seen him at work. I don’t understand the mechanics of photography as opposed to snap shots… any more than the average man. But what I do know is that by using the talents which he obviously has, he can catch an image in time which can transcend reality. He can capture emotions in his subjects so that arrogance becomes a virtue; fear becomes strength; vulnerability becomes a thing of beauty; softness becomes a rock on which all waves break with no destructive power. Without delving into hyperbole, and avoiding clichés, I really believe the man is a genius; a maestro in the fullest sense, possibly the true Renaissance Man,
