I know, I know...I'm one of those boring Flickr members who's just here to share snapshots, not true photographs. I apologize, sincerely. However, this is about me, isn't it?

I'm 19 and in college. College tends to muddle up your ideas of who you want to be. Changing my major has become my major, I think. Right now, I'm at Indiana University and my major is Pre-Medicine, which isn't really a major (per se), so we'll say Spanish is what I'll be taking all my classes in. (Yes, I'm good at grammar, but sometimes one is too lazy not to end her sentences with prepositions, okay?) I love parentheses; I feel they are my allies in interesting writing. However, I realize that too many parentheses tend to distract and thus I do promise I often end up backspacing, if that's a verb, over said parentheses.

I'm a Christian, but I'm not what springs to mind when one thinks of an American Christian. I'm somewhat patriotic, but in the Thomas Jefferson sort of way, meaning I do believe dissent is a form of patriotism. I love other countries, including (but not limited to) France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Japan, China, and more. I love cooking gourmet and eating gourmet, but I'm constantly on a diet. Unfortunately, I eat copious amounts of prepackaged food and I'm rather ashamed to say so. I'm addicted to Diet Coke.

I exercise a lot! Running is fun sometimes, but other times it takes all that I have to convince my feet to run my requisite three miles. In the summer, when the temperature is above 90 degrees Fahrenheit, I tend to venture to the gym, where I read trashy magazines and articles like, "7 Best Foods" or "Take Hold of Your Health NOW!" I do like good literature, though. My favorite novel is The Scarlet Letter (other favorites include Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and The Poisonwood Bible). I'm hoping to expand my horizons.

I like writing, can you tell? I usually hate these "About Me" sections, but today I feel inspired.
