Kalai was the best salesperson they had at Sneedley Pharmaceuticals and when she walked into our office with her leather briefcase full of samples I knew that we'd have a hard time not using her as our rep. She only needed a few minutes sweet talking our receptionist before she was invited to visit me in my office to go in for the kill. Even though her sultry pant skirt, manicured nailed and beer tattoo won her gobs of business with other men, I kept my cool and explained to her that we had no need for prescription strength Imodium AD at our office. She then enlisted the power of charts and graphs and showed how her product was superior to her competitors, and while I agreed with her, I also informed her that this was a small office engineering low torque engines and air compressors specifically for industrial gold mining, and not an internal medicine doctors office. But her outside-the-box thinking was persuasive and I told her we'd take a crate of her prescription strength poop pills since we had a deal with the Thai restaurant next door and only one bathroom. As she unloaded our new purchase her minivan (painted like Mr. T's van on the A-team), we got to talking about this same unconventional approach to selling inspired her favorite hobby of photography. Thinking and shooting like everyone else will give you predictable results she told me, so she was always looking for different angles. She's a good woman and if you ever have the chance to meet or shoot with her, you'll be impressed. Just watch your medicine cabinet; she'll raid it like a raccoon.

This remarkable young woman never fails to amaze me. Wife, mother, friend, photographer, AND now a Lady-Farmer and shepherdess extraordinaire! Kalai--has a unique style---and exudes warmth and love through her photography. One need only to gaze for a moment at the photos of her beautiful wee brood of kiddies---and know that they are loved by a mom and dad who are as grounded and 'good' as they come:) I feel priveleged to call her a Flickr friend.
