Kai, although a young man of good family and excellent background, is a pathetic example of a life ruined by excessive indulgences in alcohol, women and other sinful pursuits. Kai is a very good drummer with a rock band but when they get a gig he sits by his drums wheezing and staring at the audience through bleary, bloodshot eyes, sweating profusely, picking his nose, passing gas, and making obscene gestures, while the other band members try to ignore him and draw the audience’s attention away from him. Some feel if he would learn to be more civilized the band might become a major star on the national scene but others feel he has a certain charm and are fascinated by his antics. We can only hope that Kai will someday find his way to a more spiritual and wholesome life. Pray for him.
