I picked up aviation photography as a hobby while working at The Museum of Flight at Boeing Field in Seattle, WA. I enjoy photographing just about anything with wings, but military aircraft (past and present) are by far my favorite.
Aside from photography, I completed my Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic certification in 2016, so that I can do more with aircraft than just watch them from a distance. I currently work as a mechanic for a flight school in Puyallup, WA, and am working toward getting my private pilot’s license. Someday, I hope to work restoring vintage aircraft for a museum or other institution. I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in media production from Pacific Lutheran University in 2012, and have some past experience in audio production, working with video, and journalism.
I currently live in Tacoma, WA, with my wife and four chickens. When I’m not at work or out taking photos, I enjoy spending time on creative and DIY projects in my shop, hiking and exploring the outdoors, and researching various aviation-related topics.
