Was ist ein 'Kaianderkiste' ?

Ein Wortspiel. Jemand, der (zu) oft an der Kiste (=Computer) sitzt.

Leitet sich ab von "Kai aus der Kiste", Ein Kinderbuch von Wolf Durian aus dem Jahr 1927.

Was für eine Art Bilder ?

Ich habe hier bisher hauptsächlich (selbst-)dokumentarisches Bildmaterial.

Für mich zählen Inhalte, Erinnerungen und auch witzig/absurde Situationen.

Was für eine Art von von Belichtung und welche Schatten wo zuwenig oder zuviel erscheinen, ist mir völlig schnuppe. Das Motiv und das Ergebnis zählt.

Vor allem soll das Foto INHALTE transportieren. Es ist heutzutage eh 'n Lacher, ein Foto zu optimieren. Wirklich keine großartige Kunst mehr :-)

Oft ist das, was die Kamera aus einem Motiv macht, überhaupt nicht das, was unsere Augen wahrnehmen. Was wir mit den Augen sehen, ist die Referenz ! Das, was uns als "natürlich" erscheint.

NICHT das ist authentisch, was ein kleiner LCD Bildschirm einer Digicam oder eines Smartphones aus dem aufgefangenen Motiv/Moment herausholt. Und das eh durch zig Filter der internen Kamerasoftware hindurch gelaufen ist...

"Optimierung" ist dann paradoxerweise eher der Versuch, das wieder herzustellen, was wir wirklich sahen.

Auch und gerade davon lebt eine Foto-Plattform wie Flickr !

What is a 'Kaianderkiste'?

A german pun. Someone who sits (too) often at the box (=computer).

Also derived from "Kai aus der Kiste", A children's book by Wolf Durian from 1927.

What kind of pictures?

So far I have here mainly (self-)documentary pictorial material.

What counts for me are content, memories and even funny situations.

What kind of exposure and which shadows appear too little or too much where is completely unimportant to me. The motive and the result count. Above all, the photo should convey CONTENTS. It's a laugh to optimize a photo these days anyway. Not great art.

Often what the camera does with a motif is not what our eyes perceive at all. What we see with our eyes is the reference!

Which seems "natural" to us.

NOT that is authentic what a small LCD screen of a digicam or smartphone gets out of the captured motif/moment. And that went through many filters of the internal camera software anyway...

"Paradoxically, "optimization" is then more an attempt to restore what we really saw.
